GREAT DANE CLUB OF CALIFORNIA, INC.

CONSTITUTION


ARTICLE I

Name and Objectives

SECTION 1: Club Name

  1. The name of the club shall be GREAT DANE CLUB OF CALIFORNIA, INC, (GDCC). It shall be a non-profit organization.
     

SECTION 2: The objectives of the club shall be:

  1. to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Great Danes and to do all possible to bring their natural quali¬ties to perfection; .
     
  2. to encourage Breeders, Owners, Exhibitors, Judges and all others interested in the Breed to study and accept the standard of the Great Dane as adopted by the Great Dane Club of America and as approved by The American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which Great Danes shall be judged;
     
  3. to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sports¬manlike competition at dog shows:
     
  4. to take action upon all matters affecting the welfare of the Breed, including the offering of prizes, creating and encouraging the exhibition of Great Danes by conducting sanctioned matches, Specialty shows and any other event for which the club is eligible under the Rules and Regulations of The Amer¬ican Kennel Club.
     

SECTION 3:

  1. The club shall not be conducted or operated for profit and no part of any profits or remainder or residue from dues or donations to the club shall inure to the benefit of any member or individual.
     

SECTION 4:

  1. The Constitution can be amended or revised by a two-thirds majority of votes cast at a Closed Meeting, after a minimum of 30 days written notice of proposed amendments or revision has been sent to all members.
     

ARTICLE II

General

SECTION 1:

  1. In addition to the above Constitution a set of Bylaws shall prevail.
     
  2. This Constitution supersedes and takes precedence over any and all previous documents.
